Powerlifting: Eagles, Indians and Hornets finish near the bottom at Rusk Invitational

Jan. 29—RUSK — Boy's powerlifting teams from Rusk, Jacksonville and New Summerfield had a tough day Thursday at the Rusk Invitational.

Rusk came in eighth place, scoring 14 points in the team standings, followed by Jacksonville in ninth place with 13 points and New Summerfield, with five points, came in 10th place in the 11-school field.

Palestine (36), Tyler-Chapel Hill (29) and Henderson (27) were the top three schools in the team standings.
