Before LaMelo Ball takes on the NBA Draft Wednesday night, where he might be the first overall pick to the Minnesota Timberwolves, he fielded questions from media. And of course, though there is a very slim chance it will happen, he was asked about the Knicks.

But it wasn't just the fact that he reiterated his workout that he had with the team. A question was asked about his father, LaVar Ball, being very adamant that his son would be playing in New York one day.

LaMelo, though, didn't pay that any mind when he was asked about it.

"You'd have to ask him," Ball said.

Instead, Ball is just focusing on whatever team might take him, and the Timberwolves are rumored to be that team at No. 1 overall. Ball discussed the possibility of playing alongside D'Angelo Russell, a player he said would be a "great" fit to be with.

The Knicks would have to make a very big move to land Ball, who will easily go Top 3 in this year's Draft. So the dream of LaVar wanting at least one of his boys to play in The Garden probably won't be LaMelo after draft night.
