Potential Mets' free agent target Kiké Hernandez has reportedly agreed to a mulit-year deal with the Boston Red Sox, according to MLB.com's Mark Feinsand. The deal is worth $14 million over two years, per MLB Network's Jon Heyman.

Hernandez was rumored to be an option for the Mets as a utility player, filling a similar role he had with the Los Angeles Dodgers over the last six seasons.

He played mostly second base last season (30 games), but has the ability to play anywhere in the infield or outfield.

Hernandez had a .230/.270/.410 slash line in the 2020 shortened season with five homers and 20 RBI, helping the Dodgers bring home the World Series to LA.

His best hitting season came in 2018, when he had a .254 batting average and hit 21 HRs over 145 games.
