Post Offices to close for Christmas, New Year’s Day

All Post Offices will be closed on Christmas and New Year’s Day considering both holidays fall on a Sunday, when Post Office locations across the nation are typically closed.

There are no residential or business deliveries on Monday, December 26th., and Monday, January 2nd in observation of both federal holidays, according to a spokesperson with United States Postal Services (USPS). Priority Mail Express in select locations will continue to operate for an additional fee.

Once the holidays have wrapped, all Post Office locations will be open for business and regular mail delivery on Tuesday, December 27th and Tuesday, January 3rd., the spokesperson said. There are no current plans to have limited hours on New Year’s Eve, December 31st.

Customers are advised to check with their local Post Office for hours of operation, the spokesperson said.
