The longest-running non-major tournament on the LPGA Tour in the Portland Classic celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. It features the world’s top women professional golfers at the Oregon Golf Club in West Linn, OR, from September 13 – 19, 2021.
Throughout its history, the event has raised over $18 million for local organizations. The 72-hole tournament features a $1.4 million purse and 500 points for the winner toward the Race to CME Globe season standings. The Golf Channel will provide live broadcast coverage for all four rounds.
Interested in being a part of the celebration? The event "maintains a deep-rooted tradition of involving local community members in unique volunteer opportunities throughout the week of the tournament," the Portland Classic said via a press release.
"Open volunteer positions include marshals, walking scorers, standard bearers, admissions, transportation, pro-am caddies, and general volunteer. A variety of shift times offer volunteers the chance to choose their level of commitment. All training necessary to perform the specific positions will be provided," wrote the Portland Classic.
