Move over beef, chicken is the new meat causing a stir in town.
Popeye's, a chain of New Orleans-inspired fried chicken fast-food restaurants, announced on the platform that they were adding a new chicken sandwich to the menu.

And in true clap-back fashion, Chick-fil-A posted a cryptic subtweet on their Twitter page, thus launching the Great Chicken War of 2019.
The spicy exchange pitted two of consumers' favorite food chains against one another sparking the debate: which chain has the better chicken sandwich. While many fans stayed loyal to Chick-fil-A, Popeye's latest addition to its menu converted quite a few chicken sandwich lovers.
Okay, so THE chicken sandwich has arrived at my local @Popeyes.
Here’s my take:
I think I pinpointed the magic. It’s the “crust”. Hear me out. It tastes like somebody was in the back with some egg, milk & paprika. Feel me? It tastes homemade.
That’s unique for fast food.

Popeyes chicken sandwich hyper local tasting notes: I’ve now had this sandwich twice, once from 4238 S. Claiborne and today from 3100 S. Carrollton. Carrollton location was superior - better presentation; bigger, spicier chicken. Both were delicious. @PopeyesChickenpic.twitter.com/Fd1W4koMoy

In a little less than two weeks since its announcement, the demand for the Popeye's sandwich has been so great that select locations have been selling out of the item.
What's worse than heartbreak, you ask?
Driving to your local Popeye's only to discover the chicken sandwich doesn't hit your area until Monday.
