With a Pool, Hot Tub and Cabana, You Might Never Want To Leave the Dr Pepper House

For many, the storied history of Dr Pepper — the refreshingly sweet carbonated soft drink first crafted in the 1880s — is one history lesson you may have missed out on. Whether you're familiar with the beverage's history or not, you can visit the Dr Pepper House built in Waco, Texas by the brand's founder, Wade Morrison. Built in 1885, the stunning home was renovated in the early 2000s by Christian rock singer, David Crowder and is now available to rent via Airbnb.

If the Airbnb's solid five-star rating doesn't already have you sold, the amenities might just do the trick. The five-bedroom home (yes, five!) features a sprawling backyard with pool, hot tub and cabana. Tired of lounging poolside? Well, there's also a game room with pool and ping pong.

For the Airbnb's current owner Jed Cole, he's aware that many of his guests aren't booking the property for an introduction to Dr Pepper 101, but he is enjoying the experience.

"I love meeting all these people. It's really fun, and it's a fun way to get to represent Waco well. We hope that people leave with a good taste in their mouth about what our town has to offer and what kind of people live here," said Cole, according to the Houston Chronicle.

For those interested in renting The Dr Pepper House, you can expect to pay between $1,000 and $2,500 per night, depending on availability.
