It will be quite the game on Saturday for the LSU Tigers. We will find out which of the two quarterbacks will take hold of the starting position. It also will give fans an idea if they should make postseason plans.

The Tigers need two wins in the final three weeks to become bowl eligible with Arkansas, UL-Monroe, and Texas A&M on left on the schedule. The benefit is that all three games will take place in Death Valley.

As LSU prepares to take the field at Tiger Stadium on Saturday against the Hogs, we highlight five players that will be key for a win. Their postseason chances become infinitely more. difficult if they can’t knock off Arkansas.

Whether it is the experienced sophomore Max Johnson or the young gun freshman Garrett Nussmeier, they are a huge key for this game. The offense hasn’t seemed to find any consistency this year, with a lot of ups and downs. Whoever takes over as the lead guy needs to provide a level of play that hasn’t been seen on a weekly basis.

Ty Davis-Price

The running has finally arrived after calling for it for most of the season. After that early-season run, it appears that the staff and Ty Davis-Price have figured it out quite a bit. In the three losses by Arkansas, they gave up an average of 244 yards on the ground per game. TDP needs to establish himself in the run game to give this team a chance.

BJ Ojulari

The LSU Tigers have cooled off a bit when it comes to getting to the quarterback, but still are second in the SEC with 28 sacks. They need BJ Ojulari to be a force in this game. Getting to KJ Jefferson and disrupting his timing will be key.

Dwight McGlothern

No Derek Stingley Jr. No Eli Ricks. A hobbled Cordale Flott. It very well could be up to Dwight McGlothern to slow down Treylon Burks and the Arkansas passing game. LSU needs to minimize the impact of the Hogs best receiver in this game, can McGlothern rise to the challenge?

Trey Palmer

Trey Palmer also makes the list due to being a dual-threat for this team. They need him to make an impact in the receiving game and with his return abilities. The WR group is young and needs his experience to help get them over the top. When called upon for a punt return, it just might be one of his returns that sparks the offense.
