The coronavirus outbreak has forced many public settings to close down. From restaurants to bars, casinos and even gyms.
But have no fear, we have good news. There are still ways to get your workout in from the comfort of your home.
Here's a few fitness classes that are offered on demand via apps and streaming services.
Brookland's Bluebird Sky Yoga
In the midst of the financial hardships right now Brookland's Bluebird Sky Yoga is offering free/donation based weekly yoga classes live via Zoom and Facebook. The online classes are being offered as a resource for peace of mind, body and spirit, and all you need is the MindBody App.
Yoga Heights offers yoga and wellness classes for every body, every level and every budget. Yoga Heights is offering free livestream and pre-recorded classes on YouTube daily.
Down Dog is an app that allows you to select your time, level, focus, voice and music to create a unique, personalized yoga practice each and every time. Due to the the coronavirus outbreak, Down Dog is making all of their apps completely free until April 1.
Yoga Del Sol
Yoga Del Sol integrates ancient yogic techniques that are enhanced through continuous study and personal practice both on and off the mat. Yoga Del Sol is now offering online yoga classes and private 1-on-1 online classes with gifted yoga instructor Diego Del Sol.
Cardio and Strength
CrossFit At Home is a place to access functional movement and simple nourishment in order to sustain and preserve your health at home. Some of the workouts featured in the classes are push-ups, squat holds, sit-ups and burpees.
Fitness Blender has a goal to make health and fitness attainable, affordable and approachable. Fitness Blender offers free videos including stretch workouts, total body HIIT cardio, pilates and upper body strength workouts.
Blogilates is the No. 1 fitness channel for females on YouTube. There are classes available for all levels with various focuses including a 14-day quarantine workout plan, total body, lower abs and total arms.
Aaptiv is an audio-based fitness app. The app offers on-demand, unlimited access to thousands of workouts with more than 30 new classes every week.
Planet Fitness announced that it will be offering free in-home, live-streamed workouts daily for those who don't want to risk germs at the gym. The in-home workouts are available everyday on the Planet Fitness Facebook page for members and non-members. The classes are also going to be recorded to watch on-demand.
Orange Theory will be offering free in-home 30 minute workouts accessible to all without the use of gym equipment. New workouts are posted every day here.
