The Steelers move to 2-0 with a 17-13 over the Atlanta Falcons. Who were the players that stood out?

Most Valuable Player

For a while, the Steelers were looking for anyone to standout. From there, the depth of the team took over and stood out. James Conner finished with 98 yards and almost five yards per carrying. L.J. Fort had five tackles, and Anthony Chickillo had two sacks. However, Jordan Dangerfield found a way to find himself as the most valuable player in this game. Dangerfield put up five tackles, but on top of that snagged two-game potentially game changing interceptions. One of his picks set the Steelers up in the red zone and the other ended a drive. He has consistently been a guy who has taken advantage of any opportunity and he continued to subscribe to that idea with a strong showing when getting those chances today.

Least Valuable Player

At home, in his second preseason game, you would have hoped to see Joshua Dobbs take a step forward from his rocky road start, and show some poise in the pocket. However, Dobbs did not fare well at all, putting up ugly numbers. He completed just 52-percent of his passes, threw an interception, averaged less than four yards per attempt and had a quarterback rating of 39.4. It was not pretty, to say the least.

Play of the Game

The Steelers were trailing 13-3 when Trey Williams fielded a punt and took it 65-yards to the house for a touchdown. Williams is a fringer practice squad player looking for any reason to be remembered. On special teams, where the Steelers have been looking to replace Antonio Brown would be a great way grab their attention.

It was the spark the team needed at the time in the game, and it was the spark that his roster status needed to get practice squad consideration. It was a great feat all the way around thanks to Trey Williams.
