San Francisco Giants

Giants update: The Giants have been playing roughly .500 ball since these two teams last met in late July, when the Diamondbacks swept a three-game series at Chase Field. Since then, the Giants had gone 8-7 in their past 15 games entering Sunday. They still do not resemble the team that won 107 games last season to edge out the Dodgers for the NL West title. Their veterans, 1B Brandon Belt and SS Brandon Crawford, are having down years, and they have been unable to come close to replacing C Buster Posey, who abruptly retired after last season. C Joey Bart has swung the bat better of late, going 20 for 65 (.308) with five homers in his past 21 games. LHP Carlos Rodon and RHP Logan Webb have been the Giants best starters this season. RHP Camilo Doval has converted 17 of 19 save chances.
