The Cavaliers (8-9) have lost two consecutive games, but were competitive against the Lakers earlier this week before LeBron James erupted in the fourth quarter. The Pistons (4-13) are coming off a win over the 76ers, though Philadelphia was without Joel Embiid in that game.
Kevin Love (right calf), Marques Bolden and Matthew Dellavedova (concussion) are out for the Cavs. Larry Nance Jr. is questionable with a right abdominal strain.
For the Pistons, Blake Griffin (injury management) and Killian Hayes (hip) are out.

Advice and prediction
The Cavs and Pistons have already met once this season in Detroit, and Cleveland won 128-119 as a 1-point underdog. The Pistons’ season has continued to spiral since, while the Cavs have been one of the surprise stories of the Eastern Conference.
There’s also room for optimism in Cleveland – the recent trade with the Nets landed the Cavs a starter in Taurean Prince and a starting-caliber center off the bench in Jarrett Allen. Collin Sexton has been off in the Cavs’ last two games, but I like him to bounce back against a Pistons team he dropped 32 on in December, and the Cavs to cover at home -3.5.
Keep in mind: That last Cavs-Pistons game crushed the over, but only because it went into double overtime. I’m staying away from the total in this game.
Prediction: Cavaliers 109, Pistons 98
