Pink Shuts Down Twitter User for Comment About Her Super Bowl Performance

The Philadelphia Eagles weren't the only folks having a killer time at Super Bowl LII — it looks like Pink did, too.

The Philly-born singer kicked off Sunday's evening festivities with a rousing rendition of the National Anthem and — get this — she did it while battling the flu. (If that's not a testament to her talent and perseverance, then I don't know what is.) Her performance left Twitter in awe and she even managed to create an accidentally-iconic moment when she quickly removed what was likely a cough drop before she began singing.

But there was one Twitter user who was decidedly not into Pink's performance and — surprise — they didn't hesitate to criticize her online. "If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it 1000 times. Pink sucks and if you like her singing you’re dumb," Twitter user @King_Sullivan wrote. Not missing a beat, Pink later retweeted the troll-like remarks with a sharp retort of her own: "Yeah but [at least] I suck while singing our countries [sic] national anthem, and you just suck by yourself on a dirty couch. #winning."

The singer was clearly not phased by the flu or her latest Twitter troll because shortly after burning the troll to a crisp on social media, she threaded in a photo of herself and her daughter Willow, basking in the glow of her Super Bowl performance with a sweet note for her fans. "All of your prayers and well wishes and candles got me through. Thank you for all of your love and support. We ❤️you," she wrote.
