WHAT THEY THINK

Jay G. Tate, possessor of strong calf game.

Auburn 42-17

The Tigers gained a lot of confidence at Missouri last weekend and the offense is starting to make sense. Add that to a very good defense? That's a winning combination. Kevin Steele will do what must be done schematically to stall Nick Fitzgerald's running. That'll be enough.

Bryan Matthews, defending champ. It’s pronounced JIF.

Auburn 16-14

This is a tough Mississippi State team, which was taken to the woodshed last week, but should be very motivated to play a physical, smash-mouth game against Auburn. I think Auburn’s defense is built just fine for this kind of matchup but the offense still has some work to do when it comes to scoring touchdowns in the red zone against good front sevens.

Jeffrey Lee, specializes in sending links.

Auburn 27-17

Mississippi State played LSU two weeks ago and Georgia last weekend. The Bulldogs need a break, but won't get one Saturday night inside Jordan-Hare Stadium. Auburn's offense continues to improve and the defense continues to dominate. The Tigers improve to 4-1 overall 2-0 in the SEC with a 10-point win over State.

Hunter Adams, your momma’s favorite football coach.

Auburn 20-17

Rejuvenated and continuing to play stout defense, the Auburn Tigers make a strong homestand and defeat a hard-fighting group of Bulldogs, who are desperate to stay in the SEC race.

Mr. Quarter, flippin' and pickin' since 1987. Liker of trucks.

Mississippi State 21-9

Auburn’s about to get Nick Marshall’ed by Nick Fitzgerald. The Mississippi State quarterback is going to pass and run all over Jordan-Hare Stadium while the MSU defense puts on a performance similar to Clemson including a pick-6. At least Daniel Carlson is back.
