The couple lives in Minnesota, where the temperatures were down to 10 degrees and the snow pile was high. “It was actually her idea to pelt the loser with snowballs when we were first coming up with the bet,” Zac told Yahoo!

“Katie was pretty upset when we did the math and saw that her bracket fared worse than mine,” Zac said. “But she honored the bet.”

Katie headed back in and doubled down with a new bet. “She’s actually now calling fouls and yelling just as much as I am during games,” laughed Zac, who lost the next bracket challenge to her.

The penalty this time around was not a few snowballs. “Our next round was a shirtless snow angel, which I unfortunately had the pleasure of doing."

The final bet? “For the championship game, whoever loses has to make an extremely elaborate meal for the winner. To top it off, the loser has to eat cereal,” says Zac.

Florida Gulf Coast tattoo

They aren’t the only ones feeling the pain (and victory) of March Madness challenges. The Florida Gulf Coast University team inspired a Fort Myers radio host to place a bold bet. If the team beat Georgetown in the first round, he said he’d get a tattoo. Sure enough, the dream team of the tournament pulled through. As a result, 103.9 FM DJ Big Mama has some colorful new “dunk city” ink. “I’m sure that’s not going to ever seem dated,” wrote Buzzfeed.
