One of the principal challenges in travel photography is seeing the "familiar" in an unfamiliar way; to push your eyes and mind beyond your creative limits. In my latest trip to London, I knew I wanted to shoot the Tower Bridge, but how? I’ve seen this landmark a hundred different ways, but could I let my mind overcome the endless strand of identical snapshots? In the last moments of the day, balancing my camera on a tent-board sign with a well-timed shutter, one of my all time favorite - Photograph by Jason Rodman , My Shot

How to describe London‶ one of the great walking cities of the world. I had fun riding the tubes all day as well. Wow! Talk about crowded.Pricey place to stay but worth every pound. Endless things to see and do in London. Here one of the pictures I took during my time off from work. I took this photo at Tottenham Court Road Tube Station.I get a bit of vertigo when I look at this image. It happens every time I start down the stairs in most tube stations. They seem somehow steeper to me than usu - Photograph by Elena Baroni , My Shot

I ran into a group of schoolchildren visiting Windsor Castle in early October, and a few of the girls particularly enjoyed posing with the guard. - Photograph by Robin Flynn , My Shot

Stood in the freezing cold when taking this picture. Stuck in my own world and thought myself very lucky to have no one around for this shot. Except I was surprised to find at least 50 riot police coming up behind me! Unbeknown to me the area was empty leading up to the violent student protests! Some have asked if this image has been stitched or enhanced. I appreciate any feedback and take this one as a big compliment. This is the actual picture I took, and I have used no enhancements. - Photograph by Simon Ingram , My Shot

The annual Notting Hill Carnival in London is famous to be both the largest in europe and one of the most violent. Music, dances and colorful disguises by day are often replaced by wild struggles when the night fall. Nonetheless some policemen, with truly english applombe, seem to enjoy the duty. - Photograph by daniele brandimarte , My Shot
