Major League Baseball released on Thursday its list of the top selling jerseys from the second half of the season. The top three are a few of baseball's biggest headline-makers since July. The guy at No. 1, well, it's another day, another honor for him.
New York Yankees closer Mariano Rivera tops the list, which makes sense since his legendary career is coming to end in just a few days. In fact, Thursday is his final game at Yankee Stadium. You can bet that those No. 42 jerseys will be out in force.
Matt Harvey and Yasiel Puig were second and third on the list, two breakout stars of 2013 who prove again what we all know — that New York and Los Angeles are the cities where stars are made. Another youngster, Manny Machado of the Baltimore Orioles, was fourth on the list while Buster Posey of the San Francisco Giants, who was No. 1 on the first half list, was No. 5 in the second half.
