MLB award candidates: Rookies

Time will tell when it comes to their entire careers, but the rookie talent in the American League has not measured up to the National League side. Coming up with names on the AL side for Rookie of the Year was tough, while the NL had a handful of worthy candidates. And Manny Machado is not a rookie anymore, before you ask. Could they just give the award to Mike Trout again?

Important to note: Just like with our Cy Young and MVP lists, these are not predictions, or even projections, on who will win the league's respective Rookie of the Year awards. It's just a gauge of how they've performed so far.
