Highlights from National Household Survey

The first results were released by Statistics Canada on May 8 showing a picture of Canada based on the voluntary National Household Survey. This replaces the mandatory long-form census, which was cancelled in 2010. Due to the voluntary nature of the survey, some of the data may not be accurate.

Slated to be introduced in 2015, the new "expression of interest system" will give employers a key role in selecting future Canadians through job offers.
