St. Louis Cardinal third basemen David Freese added 16 games to what has been a 19-game hitting streak, lifting his batting average from .223 to .282 along the way. 5. The 57-win Denver Nuggets decided to part ways with both the 2012-13 NBA Coach of the Year, and Executive of the Year, firing George Karl and refusing to enter into a bidding war with Masai Ujiri. 6. LeBron James has totaled 238 points, 77 rebounds, and 54 assists spread out over nine games, averages of 26.4 points, 8.5 rebounds, and six assists against two of the league’s very best defenses in the Indiana Pacers and San Antonio Spurs. He has also registered 13 blocks, and some of them were quite notable. 7. The film ‘Fast & Furious 6’ has earned nearly $600 million dollars in worldwide box office receipts.
