Those who are used to making a long daily commute frequently say they feel like they “live” in their cars. The future residents of the Ferra luxury condominium building in Singapore will feel that much more literally.

Fans of the Italian car design group will surely notice design similarities between its fast and furious cars and the Ferra building.

From the outside, the red and black luxury residential towers, designed with Far East Organization, essentially look like two entwined buildings: "the red one, more female, animated by sinuous lines generating strong emotions," according to Pininfarina, "and the black one, more male, distinguished by tense and fast lines communicating the values of performance and speed."

“We are very proud to have identified a specific expressive language and a strong aesthetic personality for Ferra’s project, while at the same time being able to insert it harmoniously in the architectural [context] of Singapore,” said Paolo Pininfarina, chairman of the Pininfarina Group.

The 335-foot-tall building will have 22 stories. Distinctive ventilation holes mimic air intakes on a car, and the building’s external curves create an internal 45-degree incline, which provides shade for areas within the units—specifically, the bathrooms.

... including sky terraces on the 14th floor.

Along the balconies are vegetation areas.

And the complex has a pool with a juice bar, lounge, business room, aqua gym and spa.

Constructed of materials like leather, marble and wood, the lucky residents who buy units will be able to customize them with furniture designed by Pininfarina.

In renderings, the curved ceilings provide an airy feel throughout the unit, full of nooks for desks and bookcases to optimize functionality.

The 104-unit building is not without its perks inside, either.

And, of course, one of the most important areas—the garage—includes a world of detail.

From the garage's wood ceiling to two-toned resins that differentiate parking and access areas to metal sections that delineate parking spaces, the luxury car company was sure to give this very special area a sense of home.

The garage lighting is intended to "valorize the cars as gems," says Pininfarina.

Ferra follows recent company projects in the U.S., Argentina and Italy. The company is crafting the interior of a luxury condo building in Miami, as well as a uniquely designed dry-dock boat building in Argentina. The firm has already created a soccer stadium Juventus Stadium in Turin, Italy.
