Here's how to run a waterfall in a canoe, the right way and the wrong way. This kayaker at Bears Falls does it once successfully, but let his guard drop the second time and picked the wrong "line". The results are evident!

The England manager Gareth Southgate will attend the NFL Super Bowl in Minnesota next Sunday to join a convention of coaches from across the world to exchange ideas. Southgate will use the event to speak to other coaches, as he prepares to take England to the World Cup finals this summer and the Football Association say he will use the event to explore “best practice” in other areas. The showpiece final is being contested by the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles, with the Patriots defending champions and the dominant force in the sport in recent times. While it has not been disclosed which individuals Southgate will meet on the trip he regards it as valuable enough to miss a weekend’s Premier League scouting including Tottenham Hotspur’s trip to Liverpool on the same day. It is being organised by Leaders in Sport, a private networking organisation who describe themselves as a “premium invitation-only” forum for “business executives and performance practitioners across the world of sport”. Southgate has been a keen student of other sports and has already met with the England rugby coach Eddie Jones to exchange ideas. As well as that he is said to have connected with representatives of the English cricket team, and others from rugby league, cycling, boxing, canoe slalom and swimming, all of which has been facilitated by a UK Sport course. This weekend Southgate attended two games on Saturday: Wigan’s home FA Cup tie against West Ham and the evening kick-off between Liverpool v West Bromwich Albion. His assistant Steve Holland will be at Stamford Bridge for Chelsea against Newcastle on Sunday.

Japan Kayaker Banned for 8 Years For Spiking Rival's Drink

TOKYO – A Japanese kayaker has been banned for eight years for spiking the drink of a rival so he would fail a doping test.

Yasuhiro Suzuki drugged his key rival Seiji Komatsu at the Japan championships in September.

Suzuki spiked a drink with an anabolic steroid, causing Komatsu to fail a doping test, the Japan Anti-Doping Agency said on Tuesday.

The Japan Canoe Federation began investigating after Komatsu tested positive but denied ever taking drugs.

After Komatsu tested positive, Suzuki admitted putting a muscle-building supplement containing the banned steroid methandienone in his drink.

Suzuki was hoping to qualify for the 2020 Olympics at home. But he will also miss the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

The incident is Japan's first case of an athlete failing a doping test due to deliberate contamination, according to the Japan Anti-Doping Agency, which handed down the eight-year ban.

Watch: Jimmy Butler, Nature Do Not Mix As Butler Falls Out of Canoe

The Timberwolves' Jimmy Butler will probably never get in another canoe again after a "Hang Time" segment with ESPN's Sam Alipour left him soaking in freezing Minnesota lake water.

The two were talking about Butler's transition from Chicago to Minnesota, and what better way than go adventuring in Butler's new surroundings.

In theory, it's a great idea, but cue two Butler screams later (at :58 and 2:27), and I'm sure he's regretting this decision.

?As the two prepare to get in, Butler grabs two life vests, saying he can't swim and asks if there are sharks in the water.

Butler screams once as he tries to get in and again as the canoe tips and he falls in the water trying to get out.

Good thing Minnesota doesn't have 10,000 lakes or anything.
