33rd National Veterans Wheelchair Games

The 33rd National Veterans Wheelchair Games are underway in Tampa Nearly 600 Veterans from all eras have arrived in Tampa, Fla. for the world's largest annual wheelchair sports event. Veterans travel from across the United States, Puerto Rico and Great Britain to compete in the Games, taking place July 13-18.

The Games, presented by the US Department of Veterans Affairs and the Paralyzed Veterans of America, are open to all U.S. Military Veterans who use wheelchairs for sports competition due to spinal cord injuries, neurological conditions, amputations or other mobility impairments. The 33rd Games are hosted by the James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital and the Paralyzed Veterans of America, Florida Gulf Coast Chapter.
