Photos + Video: Lady Jays women's basketball reception and send-off

Mar. 12—WORTHINGTON — The Minnesota West women's basketball team held a send-off reception Tuesday morning at the Worthington Campus Commons Area before heading to Rochester for the NJCAA Division III women's basketball tournament.

The reception started at 9 a.m. and Lady Jay players and coaches were available to sign posters for fans before the team's bus left the Minnesota West north parking lot at 10 a.m. for a send-off around town.

The Lady Jays are heading to the national tournament for the third consecutive season and fifth overall in school history. They are the No. 1 seed in the tournament and will face either No. 8 Prince George's (MD) or No. 9 CC of Rhode Island Thursday at 2 p.m. The game will be available to livestream online at The Globe will also be there to cover the Lady Jays at the tournament throughout the week.
