The Phoenix Suns reached a massive four-year, $90 million fully guaranteed contract extension with Mikal Bridges on Sunday, his agents told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Bridges, whose rookie deal was set to expire after this season, will now average $22.5 million per season after this year. He is under contract with the Suns through the 2025-26 season.

"Wherever he has gone, he has won," his agent, Sam Goldfeder, told ESPN. "It's no accident. He is the player who buys into a culture as well as sets a culture."

Bridges was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers with the No. 10 overall pick in 2018, but was traded to the Suns instantly. The 25-year-old won two national championships with Villanova and averaged 17.7 points per game during his final season with the Wildcats before making the jump to the NBA.

Bridges averaged career highs of 13.5 points and 4.3 rebounds per game last season, and was a big part of the Suns’ run to the NBA Finals.

Bridges’ deal comes just before the deadline to complete any rookie extensions for the 2018 draft class on Monday afternoon. Per Wojnarowski, the Suns are also discussing potential contract extensions with center Deandre Ayton — who was the No. 1 overall pick in 2018 — and Landry Shamet, who was traded to the Suns in August by the Brooklyn Nets.
