Devin Booker will be re-evaluated again in one week after missing his 15th consecutive game Tuesday with a left groin strain suffered Christmas Day at Denver.

Suns officials said Booker “continues progressing.”

Suns wing Torrey Craig said before Tuesday’s home win over Charlotte that Booker was looking to play 1-on-1 later that day. The Suns typically like to have players play 1-on-1 up to 4-on-4 in helping determine the progression and status of an injured player.

The Suns first announced Booker's injury diagnosis Dec. 28, saying he'd be re-evaluated in four weeks.

Phoenix (25-24) is 6-9 in this 15-game stretch without Booker, but has won its last four games. The Suns will conclude a five-game homestand Thursday against Dallas (25-24).

Along with Booker, Landry Shamet (sore right foot) and Cameron Payne (right foot sprain) are both listed out against the Mavericks.

Payne hasn't played since Jan. 4 at Cleveland while Shamet has missed Phoenix's last four games.

Deandre Ayton (illness) is listed as probable as he's been sidelined the last three games.

"He felt much better (Wednesday)," Suns coach Monty Williams said after Wednesday's practice. "(Tuesday), he did some conditioning and it kind of put the symptoms into overload a little bit. Today, he came in feeling much better. We'll see how he responds. He's got to get his ramp up going a little bit. From a conditioning standpoint, we just have to see where he is."
