Corey Conners has one heck of a story to bring back to his hometown of Listowel, Ontario.

Teeing off on the sixth hole at the Masters, Conners did what only a select few have done in the history of the prestigious tournament, sinking a hole-in-one on the 184-yard par-3.

The 29-year-old became just the sixth player ever to make a hole-in-one on No. 6 and the 33rd to ever make a hole-in-one at Augusta National. He is the second player to hit a hole-in-one at the 2021 Masters, joining England’s Tommy Fleetwood who aced on the opening day of the tournament.

In addition to having a nice story to tell, Conners also has a slight chance of returning to Perth County with a Green Jacket. His hole-in-one helped fuel an excellent third round, as his 68 strokes tied Xander Schauffele of the United States for second during the round.

Entering the fourth and final round of the Masters on Sunday, Conners’ six-under par places him at sixth on the leaderboard and five strokes back of leader Hideki Matsuyama.
