‘That performance has been coming'
We asked for your views on Aberdeen’s 4-2 Premiership win away to Motherwell.
Here’s what some of you said:
Allan: It was a great spirited performance, we played with pace and precision and passed the ball through Motherwell. When we do that we are a formidable force to deal with. We need to bring that game to Hampden on Saturday and we should make the final. Barry Robson obviously found Sir Alex Ferguson’s old book of rants in a drawer in his office.
Niall: The Dons finally delivered the level of intensity that needs to be reached week in week out to compete on all fronts. Jamie McGrath was immense, Leighton Clarkson was creative, Nicky Devlin was dynamic and Bojan Miovski's workrate was outstanding. It was a really dominant team performance at a tough venue. Let's now move on and keep this level of competitive play as the expected standard.
Arch: After the dire display at Kilmarnock I wasn't expecting much, a draw at best, so I'm delighted with the win. Shipping two goals in the last 15 minutes, again, is a cause for concern. That's how games are lost, unless you're already four goals up. That's the first decent result since Ibrox and one good game in five is nothing to get excited about.
Marty: It’s amazing what we can do when we do actually play football instead of hoofball. If we play like we did then we can win the semi-final against Hibs. We need to forget about Europe as we're clearly not ready, we should concentrate on maybe winning the League Cup, but we need to put more focus on the league.
Fred: It was a very good performance, it was worth the trip. There was good movement when attacking and we were pretty solid in defence until the later stages when we have a tendency to ship goals, which must be solved before we meet better teams.
Gary: That performance has been coming and all players were on top form. If we played like that every week we would be untouchable. We can now move on to the semi with real confidence. Being in Europe is detrimental to the leauge season, but it's much-needed money for us! COYR.
Donald: What a stunning transformation from the abysmal performance on Sunday to the rampant victory over ‘Well! The passing, movement, zip and energy on display for significant spells was sublime. Thoroughly deserved to be 4-0 up but disappointing to concede two late goals. Overall much better performance. Keep it going.
Stuart: It gives me a bit more encouragement that we can now head to Hampden with more belief to cement a final place. But I would suggest to Robson not to change a winning team.
Peter: Good performance for the first 70 minutes then focus and fitness came into play. We've a big enough squad to freshen up the team for games. So either Robson doesn't know how to use the squad or players aren't pushing hard enough for a place.
