Penn State looks to climb back to .500 in Big Ten play Saturday afternoon when it hosts Nebraska in an afternoon men’s basketball contest in the Bryce Jordan Center. Penn State’s Jalen Pickett will play his first home game since being named to the midseason watch list for the Oscar Robertson Award, and he and the Nittany Lions are also looking to rebound from a tough road loss at Wisconsin.
Penn State has won five straight games at home in the BJC and they look to be a solid favorite Saturday afternoon against the visiting Cornhuskers. Penn State enters the matchup with a record of 12-6 overall and Nebraska comes in with a record of 10-9.

[autotag]Caleb Dorsey[/autotag] remains the biggest injury note for Penn State heading into the weekend. Dorsey continues to be out indefinitely due to s shoulder injury and it remains unknown if or when he will return to the court for the Nittany Lions.
Nebraska’s roster has been hit with a trio of season-ending injuries this season to forward Juwan Gary and guards Ramel Lloyd Jr., and Quaran McPherson. Gary was just ruled out for the year this week following his shoulder injury against Illinois last week.
As for the players remaining, forward Blaise Keita is listed as questionable for Saturday with an ankle injury that kept him out of action in Nebraska’s last game played.

Penn State is a solid favorite on Saturday afternoon against Nebraska according to the updated ESPN Basketball Power Index. The ESPN BPI gives Penn State an 85.2% chance of winning, which is a pretty confident rating to rely on. Nebraska is 3-4 away from home this season with a notable win at Creighton earlier in the season. Creighton was ranked no. 7 at the time of the win for Nebraska, but the Blue Jays are just 11-8 this season.
Nebraska is 1-3 in Big Ten road games this season with losses to Indiana, Michigan State, and Purdue. Its lone road win in Big Ten play came against Minnesota.
