Penn State football recruiting: Drew Allar update and players to watch

We are entering week six of the college football season and Penn State is continuing impress the committee. They are currently still sitting at the four spot right behind the Iowa Hawkeyes.

The Nittany Lions have a bright future ahead of them, and there are a few recruits for Penn State fans to keep an eye on.

One point worth noting is that Penn State did lose out on the number one athlete in the 2023 class in Sonny Styles, who recently narrowed his list down to his top five schools.

Before we highlight a few high school recruits, it’s important to keep updating how much 2022 four-star QB Drew Allar continues to impress every week for his high school team. In his team’s latest win, Allar went 23/37 for 308 yards and four touchdowns on national television. The next potential starting quarterback is continuing to hype up the Penn State crowd as every week is just one week closer to Allar stepping foot on Beaver Stadium.

Throughout the past few weeks, we have seen a few high school recruits visit State College.

One name is a top-100 defensive lineman in Cameron Lenhardt, who has visited Penn State twice in the past three weeks. Lenhardt is an intriguing player and it’s promising to see him on campus twice in under a month during his recruiting process.

The second recruit to keep an eye on is a 2024 quarterback who tabbed Big Ten offers after he threw for four touchdowns on national television. His name is Michael Van Buren. This is an early recruit for the Nittany Lions to keep an eye out for in the coming months.

Penn State’s current recruits and future players are continuing to shine for their respective high school teams. The Nittany Lions have tons to look forward to, and seeing performances like these and multiple visits from the same player can only put a smile on a coach’s face.
