Penn State extends offer to 2024 target from Maryland
When Penn State isn’t focused on dominating the state of Pennsylvania on the recruiting trail, it is sure to set its sights down south of the Mason-Dixon Line into the neighboring state of Maryland. And on Saturday, one defensive lineman target in the Class of 2024 announced he has received an offer after visiting Penn State’s campus.
Herb Gray, a defensive lineman from Upper Marlboro, Maryland, announced on his Twitter account he has received a scholarship offer from Penn State. The 6’5″ 245 pound recruit has a few scholarship offers already in during his recruiting process, including from West Virginia and Tennessee.
Gray has reportedly said Penn State is among his top schools at this stage in the recruiting process, and Penn State’s history with developing defensive linemen is certainly a solid selling point.
Gray is not currently ranked by the major recruiting services at this time.
Penn State has just a couple of commitments in for the Class of 2024 at this early stage of the recruiting process. Penn State has put together a solid Class of 2023 and looks to polish it off in the upcoming notional signing day in early February.
