Paulina Porizkova is showing off a gorgeous head of gray hair, though she’s feeling “a little hinged” at the moment.

The 55-year-old supermodel post a close-range selfie on Instagram Friday warning, “Was going for a little scary, a little unhinged here with the makeup and hair for a Zoom audition. First time I did my makeup in what feels like months!”

Porizkova credited S-adenosyl-L-methionine (SAMe) with her a mood boost (per the Mayo Clinic, the compound helps regulate hormones and might be helpful in treating depression). “I swear the stuff works,” she wrote however added, “My life situation hasn’t changed. I have felt like I’m carrying a backpack full of rocks that I am forced to carry everywhere...”

The model has doubled down on her characteristic transparency over the last year, be it her grief process or her totally relatable perspective on the aging process.

In 2018, Porizkova announced that she and Ocasek had been “peacefully separated for the past year” ending their 28-year reign as a Hollywood golden couple, though they remained friends. The former couple, who met on the set of a music video for the Cars’s 1984 hit “Drive,” share two adult sons.

Ocasek died from cardiovascular disease at age 75 and as Porizkova later revealed, she discovered him deceased in their New York City home while recuperating from an unknown medical procedure. However, gnarly details of their relationship seeped out when Ocasek’s will, obtained by Page Six, clarified that Porizkova was left nothing “because she has abandoned me.”

Porizkova denied his abandonment claim and filed documents to claim a portion of his $5.115 million estate and admitted to feelings of “incredible hurt and betrayal” in a CBS Sunday Morning interview.

The model has canalized her emotions through social media, where she’s frequently depicted makeup-free and framed by natural lighting. In a January selfie, Porizkova pointed out her “jowly bits” and eyelids that “droop” writing, “Today narcissism is king and constant self-improvement is queen. Who wants to see ‘real’ people on social media? No, we want aspirational...We want people to envy us, to copy us, to buy what we sell them, whether it’s our words, our brands, torture or magic.”

Instagram is also where Porizkova has revealed her lifelong history of panic attacks, anxiety and depression. “I was lonely. I wasn’t desired or wanted by anyone, career or private life. It was a situational depression,” she shared in October.

This week — not long after standing in line to cast her presidential vote “Depressed or not” — Porizkova slammed the unresolved election results, which are not officially certified amid President Trump’s unfounded claims that he won with 232 electoral votes to opponent Joe Biden’s 306.

“Playing golf and spreading discontent while a pandemic is raging would be seen as criminal in virtually any other country if we were the ones watching,” she wrote on Instagram adding that she made a “serious attempt” to understand the viewpoint of some Trump’s supporters. Later, she called commenter feedback “deeply thought provoking.”
