There can’t be much rationalizing for a blowout of this magnitude. Denver’s without Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. Jeff Green and Bones Hyland have run wild. The Clippers, without Paul George, beat the Nuggets earlier this week. The Lakers have had plenty of rest. – 11:00 PM

Hawks coach Nate McMillan says he saw a Paul George type in Cam Reddish. Said it’s “unfortunate” Cam wanted out. – 5:53 PM

More on this storyline

Ohm Youngmisuk: Asked if there’s any update on Paul George’s elbow, Ty Lue says, “not any we’re able to discuss right now.” George is three weeks into his recovery and Clippers initially said he would be re-evaluated in three to four weeks. -via Twitter @NotoriousOHM / January 17, 2022

Mirjam Swanson: Ty Lue on how PG is doing: “I talked to him, he wants to be able to come to the games, I don’t think he can right now … he wants to be here. So we’re trying to figure out a way to get him in the building.” Health and safety protocols keeping him away. -via Twitter @MirjamSwanson / January 17, 2022

While the team’s initial announcement on Christmas Day stated George would be re-evaluated in 3-4 weeks, the Clippers are operating under the possibility that George may not return this season, sources told B/R. And despite the momentum surrounding Kawhi Leonard’s rehab from a torn ACL, there remains a healthy dose of skepticism around the league about Leonard retaking the floor in 2021-22 as well. -via Bleacher Report / January 12, 2022
