KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Patrick Mahomes signed baseball was recently found at a thrift store in Rockwall, Texas, and it is now up for auction.

The baseball is now a part of the Lelands 2024 Winter Classic Auction. The baseball is a Whitehouse Wildcats High School baseball from 2013 that was signed by Mahomes.

The baseball was found at the thrift store just two days after Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs won Super Bowl LVIII.

The baseball is from Mahomes’ senior year of high school. The Champro Official League baseball has been signed by six of Whitehouse’s’ baseball players, most notably Patrick Mahomes, who signed and inscribed “#5” in black on the baseball.

The starting bid for the baseball is $2,500. So far, no one has put in a bid for the Mahomes memorabilia.

For anyone who may be skeptical, the auction service says the winning bidder gets a professional sports authenticator’s letter of authenticity for the memorabilia, but his autograph certainly has evolved since he’s become an NFL MVP and Super Bowl hero.
