Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers headline NFL Pro Bowl rosters

The NFL announced its Pro Bowl rosters for the 2020 season on Monday led by Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

The Pro Bowl will not be played this season because of the COVID-19 pandemic, meaning that these are the final rosters. With no game, there will be no need for substitutions for injured players or players preparing to play in the Super Bowl.

Russell Wilson of the Seattle Seahawks and Kyler Murray of the Arizona Cardinals join Rodgers as quarterbacks on the NFC team. Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills and Deshaun Watson of the Houston Texans join Mahomes on the AFC team.

2 rookies make the cut

The nods for Murray and Allen mark the first Pro Bowl honors for the young quarterbacks. Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson and Washington Football Team defensive end Chase Young are the two rookies to make the cut.
