For the second time in his career, Georgia linebacker Natrez Patrick has been arrested on a marijuana charge..
The Bulldog junior was arrested by Athens Clarke County Police at 11:37 p.m. Thursday night and booked into the Clarke County jail for a misdemeanor possession of marijuana as well as a parking violation.
He was released at 12:25 a.m. on bonds totalling $1,500.
Two years ago, Patrick was arrested and charged with misdemeanor possession and wound up missing one game.
According to the Georgia student-athlete handbook, Patrick stands to miss the next four games as a two-time offender.
His arrest comes at a particular in opportune time for Georgia. Fellow middle linebacker Reggie Carter suffered what is believed to be a concussion last week at Tennessee, and is not expected to play Saturday against Vanderbilt (Noon, ESPN).
Junior Juwan Taylor and freshman Monty Rice would likely be the two players to see more snaps as a result of Patrick's situation.
