Paris faces unbeaten foe in Illinois football playoffs
Oct. 23—Casey's 35-20 high school football win at Paris on Friday didn't prove fatal to the Tigers' playoff hopes.
The Illinois High School Association has given the Paris Tigers (5-4) a 14th seed, and they will play a 3 p.m. CT Saturday game at fourth-ranked Roxana (9-0) in the Class 3A playoffs.
Monday, IHSA announced dates for the playoffs
Casey, had been assured of a playoff berth for two weeks, is a sixth seed with an 8-1 record in the A bracket and will host 11th-seeded Cumberland (6-3) at 7 p.m. Friday.
