Panthers rookies Bryce Young, Jonathan Mingo attempt to draw team logo

Here we go again.

For the third time in as many years, a Carolina Panthers quarterback was tasked with drawing the team’s logo. It was Sam Darnold in 2021, Matt Corral in 2022 and now, it’s No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young.

Young’s “masterpiece,” which took form during the 2023 NFLPA Rookie Premiere, was revealed in a video from the NFL on Wednesday. So, without further ado . . .

Oh . . . oh my. That, uh, that’s one terrified looking kitty.

Should we call it “The Scaredy Cat?” How about “The Petrified Panther?”

Well, whatever it is, it may be better than what teammate and fellow 2023 draftee Jonathan Mingo did . . .

The 22-year-old wide receiver, apparently, went for a straight-on interpretation of the logo. He also may have created a new species, because it appears as though that panther has some sort of lion’s mane.

Anyway, the Panthers selected Young atop this year’s draft with the belief that he’ll be the answer under center. So, hopefully this is the last time in a long time that a Carolina quarterback is forced to deface their logo.
