Panthers offensive weapons get top-10 ranking by ESPN

The Panthers’ receivers didn’t get much respect from Pro Football Fous in their recent rankings of each group in the NFL, coming in at No. 21. Not everyone is down on this offense, though.

Bill Barnwell at ESPN has a new ranking of the offensive weapons for every team, and Carolina came in much higher on this one. He has the Panthers at No. 7 on his list. Naturally, they got a big boost from having the most unique running back in football on their side.

“It should be telling that McCaffrey missed virtually an entire season and is still the consensus first overall pick in fantasy drafts. There’s nobody in the league like a healthy McCaffrey.”

This is true.

While it’s good to see McCaffrey and the Panthers getting their props, they also have a lot of competition in the neighborhood. The top team on Barnwell’s list was the division-rival Buccaneers.
