Panda Global is ranking the top 50 Smash 4 players in the world and released the first part of its list Wednesday.

The Panda Global Rankings break down the first 10 players from Nos. 50 to 41, beginning with Falcon player Terry “Tearbear” Winters.

Notable highlights include Joe “Seagull Joe” Raucher, who beat top Smash 4 player Gonzalo “ZeRo” Barrios at The Big House 5, at No. 48, the “best” Ike main in the world Tommy “Ryo” Janky at No. 45, and Griffin “Fatality” Miller rounding out the first part of the list at No. 41.

“The purpose of the Panda Global Rankings is to give exposure to the Smash 4 competitive community. Our hopes are that this list will allow players to join more teams, gain more recognition, and help elevate Smash 4’s scene as a whole. Smash is a game close to our hearts and the only thing we want is to see it grow,” Panda Global CEO Alan Bunney MD told Yahoo Esports.

Panda Global bases its player rankings on major national and international tournament placings, set counts against other players, and the results of a survey of a panel of 40 Smash 4 players.

Also included in the rankings is an “X Factor,” which is a number designating where the player was ranked based on the Panda Global Rankings versus the survey. You can find out more about the ranking methods on Panda Global’s website as well as the video detailing part one of the list.

Panda Global will release part two, which includes numbers 40-31 on Friday, May 20, and three more parts next week, ending with the top 10 on Wednesday, May 25.
