Paige VanZant says she broke her arm, quelling UFC 236 rumors
Paige VanZant announced on Twitter Thursday that she has suffered another arm fracture.
Well.... I fractured my arm again. So there’s that.

The UFC flyweight has suffered two previous arm fractures in her career, including one that kept her out of action a full year from January 14, 2018 to this past Jan. 19.
She didn’t give details of how she suffered her latest injury or what the severity is. VanZant did, however, post a picture to her Instagram story of the purported injury:
Injury puts stop to UFC 236 talk
The injury appears to settle reports over VanZant’s rumored appearance on the upcoming UFC 236 card in Atlanta.
VanZant was reportedly slated to face either Poliana Botelho or Montana De La Rosa at the April 13 event.
On Wednesday, De La Rosa told BJPenn.com that any reported fight was off because VanZant had claimed to be injured.
“Now Paige is claiming her arm is hurt, so she can’t fight that Poliana girl or me, so we aren’t sure what is happening,” De La Rosa said. “As of now, she is hurt, so that is not true. I’m just waiting to hear.”
Thursday’s social media announcement appears to confirm that what De La Rosa had heard was true.
