‘Page Six’ Says Kylie Jenner Was “Denied Entry” to a 2023 Met Gala After-Party

IDK about you, but I miss ye olden days of the King Kylie era (RIP) and relish any time the star steps out for a big night. And although she did just that on the steps of the 2023 Met Gala, Page Six claims that things were more, erm, complicated once the after-parties rolled around.

The outlet says Kylie arrived to one such bash that was hosted by nightlife veteran Richie Akiva, Doja Cat, and P. Diddy at the Box in NYC. But “they wouldn’t let her in” right away, one witness told Page Six, before adding, “They shut the door down because it was over capacity.”

Another source who spoke with the publication said Kylie arrived to the party after midnight to meet up with her sister Kendall Jenner and the model’s boyfriend Bad Bunny, both of whom were already inside. But there were apparently more than 100 people *also* trying to get through the strict door, making for a “chaotic scene.”

According to Page Six, what apparently went down IRL could actually be chalked up to some good old-fashioned miscommunication: Kylie allegedly got out of her car before the party’s organizers were ready for her arrival so they could escort her safely inside. “Then she decided to go home because she didn’t want to be at a crowded party. She rarely goes to clubs.” Relatable, TBH!

Yet another source dished they’d seen Janelle Monáe—who had an after-party of their own at the legendary Boom Boom Room earlier—and actor Evan Mock turned away because the door was closed due to capacity issues. “The door was rushed by crowds many times,” confirmed another insider. Others in the know about the sitch even said the police showed up at one point, although they didn’t go inside; rather, they simply helped wrangle all the people waiting outside and the cars on the street.

Oh, and speaking of cars…one source had this to say of the scene in the early hours of the morning: “At 6 a.m., a line of limos and SUVs were down the street.”
