Packers RB Aaron Jones gifts scooters to team trainer that found pendant

Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones had a surprise for the man who found his lost pendant in an end zone at Lambeau Field.
To say thank you, Jones gifted five “Bird” scooters to the family of head athletic trainer Bryan “Flea” Engel, who went back onto the field early in the morning following the Packers’ win over the Detroit Lions in Week 2 to find Jones’ pendant containing his late father’s ashes.
“Today I’m here to surprise by boy Flea. Got him some scooters. Just a small token of my appreciation for all the work he does, and going back out there late at night to find it,” Jones said.
Jones scored four touchdowns against the Lions but lost the football-shaped keepsake in the end zone while celebrating one of the scores. It wasn’t found by Engel until around 1:45 in the morning.
The Packers have since sewn a special pocket for the pendant in Jones’ jersey, ensuring it won’t be lost on any more touchdown runs.
Engel has been with the Packers for 25 years. He was the team’s assistant athletic trainer from 1999 to 2014. He’s been the Packers’ head athletic trainer for the last seven years.
