Packers LB Rashan Gary reportedly tears ACL in loss to Lions, will miss rest of season

It was a brutal Sunday for the Green Bay Packers. They lost 15-9 to the Detroit Lions for their fifth-straight loss, and reportedly lost outside linebacker Rashan Gary for the year.

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Gary tore his ACL against the Lions and will miss the rest of the season.

Gary is one of the Packers' top defenders and had been putting up career numbers, which makes this loss sting even more for Green Bay. He leads the team with six sacks, seven tackles for loss and 12 quarterback hits.

It was a bad Sunday all around for the Packers. Not only did they lose Gary while losing to the Lions, they lost a number of other players as well. Wide receiver Romeo Doubs was carted off the field with an ankle injury, and was later seen on crutches with a walking boot on his right foot. Aaron Jones left the game with a left ankle injury and was also seen in a walking boot. Cornerback Eric Stokes left the game in the first quarter with ankle and knee issues and was also on crutches with a walking boot. Wide receiver Christian Watson and inside linebacker Krys Barnes both left the game to be evaluated for concussions.

Not one of those players returned to the game after they left on Sunday. There has been positive news about Jones, though. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, tests on Jones' ankle came back negative and he "should" be able to play against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 10.
