Packers, Aaron Rodgers seem to escape delay of game penalty on touchdown play

Rodgers escapes delay of game penalty on touchdown play originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago

Should the Aaron Rodgers touchdown pass to Marquez Valdes-Scantling have counted?

Several fans and pundits, including our own Adam Hoge, noted that the play clock had ticked down to zero.

And if that was the case, the play would've never been happened and the Packers would've lost yards and that could've changed the play call entirely.

Don't just take the screenshot at face value, watch the clock tick down to zero yourself.

At least one Bears fan on Reddit is trying to calm down other fans.

"The ball snaps at zero all the time in games," MiddleAgedGregg wrote on Reddit.

And there are a significant number of fans who are more upset that Chuck Pagano had Danny Trevathan covering a wide receiver in man-to-man coverage on scoring play. And again, had that delay of game been called, if was indeed delay of game, this touchdown might not have been scored.

Either way, looks like a missed call or the kind of call a star in a league gets.

If the Bears win by less than a touchdown, this play could become all the more controversial.
