Packers' Aaron Jones headlines RB targets, fades

Scott Pianowski and Adam Levitan discuss why fantasy managers should target the Green Bay RB.

Video Transcript

SCOTT PIANOWSKI: Let's get some running back courses where we-- you know, we want to be right at running back. If you get the running backs right, you can probably figure out the rest of it. Give me one or two targets for you at ADP and a couple of Levitan fades at running back.

ADAM LEVITAN: Yeah, I take Aaron Jones so much because I was taking Aaron Jones before-- I thought Aaron Rodgers was always coming back. So I was taking Ron Jones in round two. Now I take Aaron Jones in round one where I have to-- I think that with Jamaal Williams gone, you can see the Kamara-esque kind of pass catching for Aaron Jones.

Plus, we know how good he is as a runner. So I take Aaron Jones a lot. Also kind of near the top, I think Darryl Henderson. Like, if Cam Akers never existed, Darryl Henderson would be going so high. And so we have kind of anchored to this, oh, well, Cam Akers was supposed to be the feature back.

Now he's not. How high can I take Darryl Henderson? I mean, Darryl Henderson fits the profile of explosive player, a team which is going to be very, very good, a team which wants to run around the goal line, a player which can really play well in the passing game.

And so I like Darryl Henderson. I-- you know, I've been seeing him in round four plenty. And even after the Akers injury, I mean, people are like, well, I don't know if he's a round five pick. I don't know if he's a-- I mean, that's crazy, man.

I think Darryl Henderson fits the profile. If we never heard about Akers, he would fit the profile of like a round two pick. You can still get him in like round four.

SCOTT PIANOWSKI: And maybe a running back or two that you're-- we know Chubb is the guy you're high on.

ADAM LEVITAN: Oh yeah, but I mean, all of these guys-- I have underbets on so many these guys. I never take Mike Davis. I never take Myles Gaskin.

I never take Chase Edmonds. I never take Raheem Mostert. I never take Josh Jacobs.

I rarely take David Montgomery or Chris Carson. I never take JK Dobbins. Like, all these guys in this range, I just never take. I think that so reliant on projected volume, which is not nearly as secure as people think that it is. And I'm taking wide receiver quarterback there over these guys for sure.
