Packer tennis gains wins throughout several matches

Mar. 18—MOULTRIE — The Packers varsity tennis team played strong in both their matches against Berrien and then traveling to the Golden Isle Invitational to play against several other schools.

"}First playing Berrien last Wednesday, the Packers won 3-2.

The doubles teams of Ty Hurst and Parker Anderson as well as Jack Taunton and Harrison Sims on their matches.

Singles player Joshua Scroggins was the other Packer to come away victorious.

During the Golden Isles Invitational held on Friday and Saturday the Packers picked up several wins throughout the competition.

}The dual teams of Hurst and Anderson won all three of their matches during the invitational, as did Scroggins.

Taunton and Sims picked up one win during their matches.

Bailee Fountain and Daniel Basilio, both playing singles, also won matches throughout the invitational.

The Packers will next travel to Worth County on Thursday for a non-region match, which begins at 4 p.m.

Senior Night will be Monday, March 25, at Packer Park when the Packers face Valdosta in region play.
