Tyrese Haliburton apparently hasn't forgotten about Wally Szczerbiak's "wannabe all-star" comments.

The Indiana Pacers guard proved Szczerbiak incorrect Thursday night when he was selected to his first NBA All-Star game as a reserve.

"It felt good," Haliburton said of the honor after a 112-111 loss to the Lakers. "I don't want to sit up here and sound arrogant or anything like that. Coming into the day, I just really felt like I had a good opportunity. I felt like I had a really good opportunity for the majority of the year. I'm just excited that it is official. I worked really hard to get here."

On Friday, Haliburton changed his profile picture on Twitter to Szczerbiak, a one-time NBA All-Star with the Minnesota Timberwolves who is now an analyst for the New York Knicks.

While Szczerbiak later apologized on a broadcast. Haliburton told ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski on a podcast that the comments pushed him to become better. Haliburton also said at the time he had not spoken with Szczerbiak.

"No communication," Haliburton said. "He's reached out to people in my life but no, I have not talked to him."

When asked if he had any interest in speaking with Szczerbiak, Haliburton was blunt.

"No, zero," Haliburton said.

When and where is NBA All-Star Weekend?

This year’s All-Star game is Feb. 19 in Salt Lake City, Utah at Vivint Arena. It will be broadcast at 8 p.m. ET on TNT. The Rising Stars game is Feb. 17 (9 p.m. ET, TNT), and the Skill Challenge, 3-point Contest and Slam Dunk event are Feb. 18 (8 p.m. ET, TNT).

Pacers rookies Bennedict Mathurin and Andrew Nembhard will take part in the Rising Stars game.
