UPDATE: Location announced for OVI checkpoint in Wapakoneta tonight

The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced last Sunday morning that an OVI checkpoint will be held this week in Wapakoneta.

This morning we learned the OVI checkpoint will be on State Route 198.

Police will be operating the checking from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on June 10.

Operational support for the sobriety checkpoint will be provided by local law enforcement agencies, according to a release.

The checkpoint is funded by federal grant funds and is planned to discourage and intercept impaired drivers.

We will update this story once we learn the location of the checkpoint.
