Over/Under Week 11 - Leonard Fournette

Will the TB RB go over/under 99.5 total yds in week 11?

Video Transcript

MATT HARMON: All right, as promised, our final over/under on the show is about Leonard Fournette, the RB1 for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers going against the New York Giants on Monday Night Football. We're gonna set the line here at 99 and a 1/2 total yards. And, oh baby, give me the over.

Leonard Fournette was one of my only good draft picks this year. And like, this Bucs backfield has completely narrowed down to just Fournette. You know, they're not playing Ronald Jones. Gio Bernard doesn't even get like the dump-offs in catch-up mode.

That was Leonard Fournette last week. So he's the clear cut pass catching back. He's the clear cut early down banger. I think the Bucs rebound in a solid moment here against the New York Giants and win this game, and I think that's mostly going to be just a ton of opportunity for Leonard Fournette. The guy has played very well so far this year. But Minty, I know that there's no way you agree with me on this one.

MINTY BETS: Yeah, I have to find a way to make the under make some sort of sense. Now, I know New York's defense is allowing some of the most total yards per game, but Bucs offense averaging the fewest rushing yards per game. And this over under for Leonard Fournette's total yards-- I know it's total yards-- but he hasn't exceeded this in three games straight. So, yeah, I got to take the under here.

MATT HARMON: Minty, the writers of this show really got to do a little more here. It's so predictable me over, you under. I mean, this is like, come on, who's writing this show? Anyways.

MINTY BETS: Yeah, Liz always the tiebreaker. Mhm.

MATT HARMON: Liz, be the tiebreaker here.

LIZ LOZA: I'm gonna take the over. Absolutely.

MATT HARMON: Yes!

LIZ LOZA: Yeah, I'm gonna take the over. Last week, Matt, on the "Yahoo Fantasy Football Forecast" podcast, you made the point, which was an excellent one, that if you looked at last week's nine targets, you'd have assumed it was a Gio Bernard game. But it wasn't. It was in fact Fournette, and the match-up is great.

Not only is Fournette number 5 or top 5 in total targets drawn and routes run among running backs, but the match-up, like I said, is awesome because the Giants are allowing the six most receiving yards to opposing running backs and the fourth most fantasy points overall to opposing running backs. So it doesn't matter. He's gonna get it through the air. He's gonna get it through the ground. The Bucs are 10 and 1/2-point favorites, So I have to believe that he can clear this line.
